Ok here goes my first dessert post!

Tiramisu is a Italian dessert, but instead of mascarpone cheese i prefer to use cream cheese it just tastes better that way. I have been using this recipe for a few years already(got it from my cousin). I absolutely LOVE it! Its definitely a crowd pleaser! Everyone loves this cake:) My favorite cake for sure!!!

  • 2 pkgs Giant lady fingers
  • 16 oz coolwhip
  • 2 pkgs cream cheeses(i use Philadelphia)
  • 4 eggs( separate the yolks from the whites)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup coffee(add 1 tablespoon to 1 cup boiling water)
  • 1/2 cup Irish cream liquor
  • 1 pkg gelatin

For Cream:

  1. Beat egg yolks with sugar
  2. Separately beat cream cheese and cool whip
  3. Once its fully blended add the egg yolks and sugar mixture to the cream cheese and cool whip
  4. Whisk the egg whites, add to the mixture and then add the gelatin
  5. Mix until smooth
  6. Mix the Irish cream and coffee together(once the coffee is room temperature)
  7. Soak each lady finger for about 10 seconds and then add to dish
  8. Once the bottom layer filled with the lady fingers add half of the cream mixture
  9. Then add another layer of soaked lady fingers
  10. Add the rest of the cream mixture and sprinkle the top of the cake with cocoa powder
Make sure you refrigerate cake overnight!

This dish serves 10-12

    How much is 2 pkg cream cheese?

      250 grams for each package.. so 500 in total :) Did you end up making the cake?
